The series offers a unique insight into the cultural landscapes of GLEN\u2019s partner countries.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Each webinar is structured in three parts:<\/p>\n<li>A short introduction highlighting key artistic events, projects, and open calls in the featured country that may be of interest to international professionals.<\/li>\n<li>An overview of the main players and current developments in the country\u2019s performing arts sector.<\/li>\n<li>A presentation by a GLEN-invited artist from the featured country, introducing their artistic practice and ongoing projects.<\/li>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class='gallery'><a href='https:\/\/theatre.lv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Screenshot-2025-03-21-at-14.06.38.png' data-lightbox='ljti' ><img style='width:150px;height:150px;' src='https:\/\/theatre.lv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Screenshot-2025-03-21-at-14.06.38-150x150.png'\/><\/a><a href='https:\/\/theatre.lv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Screenshot-2024-12-20-at-14.47.48-1.png' data-lightbox='ljti' ><img style='width:150px;height:150px;' src='https:\/\/theatre.lv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Screenshot-2024-12-20-at-14.47.48-1-150x150.png'\/><\/a><a href='https:\/\/theatre.lv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Screenshot-2025-01-17-at-14.16.12-1.png' data-lightbox='ljti' ><img style='width:150px;height:150px;' src='https:\/\/theatre.lv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Screenshot-2025-01-17-at-14.16.12-1-150x150.png'\/><\/a><\/p>\n<div class='clr'><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>The final webinar of the series will take place on 20 June 2025, focusing on Luxembourg\u2019s performing arts scene<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The session will open with Sascha Dahm, President of THEATER FEDERATIOUN, who will provide a comprehensive overview of Luxembourg\u2019s theatre sector \u2013 its productions, artists, venues, and future plans. Afterwards, Michel Charles-Beitz, Head of Production at Th\u00e9\u00e2tres de la Ville de Luxembourg, and producer Jillian Camarda will introduce their theatre and present opportunities for international artists to develop and showcase their work through the annual TalentLAB programme. Finally, Luxembourgish theatre director F\u00e1bio Godinho, invited by GLEN, will share his artistic approach and current projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Previous Webinars<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>15 November 2024 \u2013 Kosovo<\/strong><br \/>\nThe series began with a focus on Kosovo. Florent Mehmeti from Teatri ODA presented his projects and the new \u201cIN SITU\u201d platform supporting art in public spaces. Jeton Neziraj from Qendra Multimedia discussed the challenges and opportunities of politically and socially engaged theatre in Kosovo. GLEN-invited artist Sovran Nrecaj closed the session with an introduction to his ongoing work.<\/p>\n<p><strong>20 December 2024 \u2013 Estonia<\/strong><br \/>\nThis session explored Estonia\u2019s performing arts sector. Liisi Aibel, International Relations Coordinator at Eesti Teatri Agentuur, provided an overview of Estonia\u2019s theatre system, residencies, festivals, and international cooperation. Annika \u00dcprus, Artistic Director of elektron.art, introduced this unique virtual and physical art space known for its interdisciplinary projects. GLEN-invited artist Siim T\u00f5niste presented his artistic practice and upcoming projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>17 January 2025 \u2013 Iceland<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Icelandic session featured Fri\u00f0rik Fri\u00f0riksson from the Performing Arts Centre Iceland, who spoke about the country\u2019s theatres, festivals, and international collaborations. Sn\u00e6bj\u00f6rn Brynjarsson, Director of Tjarnarb\u00ed\u00f3 Theatre, highlighted the theatre\u2019s distinctive role in Iceland\u2019s cultural ecosystem. GLEN artist Sn\u00e6fr\u00ed\u00f0ur S\u00f3l Gunnarsd\u00f3ttir shared insights into her artistic work and future projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>21 February 2025 \u2013 Slovenia<\/strong><br \/>\nThe fourth webinar highlighted Slovenia\u2019s performing arts sector, presenting programmes, platforms, and festivals such as Trigger Platform, PARL (Performance Art Research Ljubljana), Mladi Levi (Ljubljana), Drugajanje (Maribor), SPIDER (Ljubljana), and City of Women (Ljubljana).<\/p>\n<p><strong>21 March 2025 \u2013 Latvia<\/strong><br \/>\nIn March, the spotlight was on Latvia. Maija Pavlova, producer at Gertrude Street Theatre and Chair of the Latvian Theatre Council, introduced the country\u2019s state and independent theatre organisations, major festivals, showcases, and opportunities. Marking Women\u2019s History Month, artists Barbara Lehtna, Katr\u012bna D\u016bka, and IevaKrish &amp; Tuvumi discussed feminist perspectives in art and their international experience. The session also included a preview of the upcoming Baltic Take Over Festival, taking place in Turku, Finland (10\u201312 April).<\/p>\n<p><strong>18 April 2025 \u2013 Lithuania<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Lithuanian webinar featured several perspectives: Krist\u0117 Agota Sav\u0117, Artistic Director of SIRENOS Festival and Head of the Lithuanian Theatre Information Centre, introduced the theatre landscape; Gintar\u0117 Masteikait\u0117, Head of the Lithuanian Dance Information Centre, spoke about major dance festivals; Gabriel\u0117 Kundrotait\u0117, Project and Programme Coordinator at Arts Printing House, presented Lithuania\u2019s leading independent performing arts venue; and Tomas Jankauskas, Director of Klaip\u0117da Youth Theatre, introduced his theatre and the New Theatre Days Festival.
