{"id":5483,"date":"2022-12-06T14:07:33","date_gmt":"2022-12-06T14:07:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theatre.local\/nosledzosa-baltic-takeover-asambleja-helsinkos\/"},"modified":"2022-12-06T14:07:33","modified_gmt":"2022-12-06T14:07:33","slug":"nosledzosa-baltic-takeover-asambleja-helsinkos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theatre.kondrats.dev\/en\/nosledzosa-baltic-takeover-asambleja-helsinkos\/","title":{"rendered":"The Last &#8220;Baltic Takeover&#8221; Assembly in Helsinki"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>In 2023 New Theatre Insitute of Latvia joins forces with Kanuti Gildi Saal (EE) and Lithuanian Dance Information Centre (LT) to create a new festival in Helsinki, <a href=\"https:\/\/baltictakeover.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;Baltic Takeover&#8221;<\/a> 7-11 June 2023. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the lead up to the festival the Baltic Take Over artists and curators have been meeting in each other&#8217;s countries to exchange ideas, gather energy and carve friendships. The final assembly took place from 16-20 November in Helsinki in conjunction with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.balticcircle.fi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Baltic Circle Festival<\/a>. This gathering was attended by 15 artists and curators from all Baltic countries including artistic director of NTIL Bek Berger and producer Ieva Briede, Inta Balode and Ginta Gr\u016bbe from \u201cLaukku\u201c, Platons Buravickis from association &#8220;Sansusi&#8221; and Kl\u0101vs Mellis from \u201cKvadrifrons\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>During five intensive days, artists visited the Baltic Takeover festival local partners \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/kiasma.fi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kiasma <\/a>\/ <a href=\"https:\/\/kiasma.fi\/en\/urb-festival\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">URB<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.annantalo.fi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Annantalo<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.viirus.fi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Viirus Theatre<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.madhousehelsinki.fi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Madhouse Helsinki<\/a>.<br \/>\nIn addition to our confirmed partners we visted the wider artistic community in Helsinki with tours of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zodiak.fi\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Zodiak<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/artsmanagement.fi\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Arts Management Helsinki<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tanssintalo.fi\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dance House Helsinki<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.danceinfo.fi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dance Information Centre Helsinki<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wauhaus.fi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wauhaus studio<\/a>. Artists were also given a chance to attend International theatre festival Baltic Circle, to see such performances as association Rampa \u201cInviting precarious perspectives\u201d, Henriikka Himma &amp; working group \u201cI was living in a strange place\u201d, as well as Biret &amp; G\u00e1ddj\u00e1 Haarla Pieski performance \u201cStarting from Staring \u2013 \u010calmmiid \u010ca\u0111a\u201d. In addition to visiting the venues and the festival, artists and curators held joint meetings to discuss various details related to the upcoming festival.<\/p>\n<p>So far, the Baltic partners have organized four assemblies in the context of each partner&#8217;s festival. Each meeting was curated and produced by the host partner, including lectures, workshops, talks with festival artists and site visits.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to follow the news, visit <a href=\"https:\/\/baltictakeover.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">baltictakeover.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Baltic Takeover is supported by the Baltic Culture Fund and The Nordic-Baltic NGO from the Office of Nordic Ministers Latvia.<br \/>\nBaltic Take Over (Helsinki) is a festival and a collaborative process led by Baltic NGO culture leaders \u2013 Lithuanian dance information center \/ New Baltic dance festival and Gintar\u0117 Masteikait\u0117, Kanuti Gildi SAAL \/ SAAL Biennaall and Priit Raud, New Theatre Institute of Latvia \/ Homo Novus and Bek Berger.
