This year, the marathon aims to raise awareness of domestic violence by contributing towards its reduction.<\/p>\n<p>On December 17, 21 and 22 at 10.00 PM participants of the \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.homonovus.lv\/eng\/programme?s=Museum\">Physical Evidence Museum<\/a>\u201d will read the stories that were sent to the \u201cHomo Novus\u201d festival.\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dod.pieci.lv\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Please donate to support victims of domestic violence.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.homonovus.lv\/eng\/programme?s=Museum\">Physical Evidence Museum<\/a>\u201d, created by Jana Jacuka and Laura Sta\u0161\u0101ne, is a collection of personal artefacts of violence and an interactive installation resembling &#8216;crime scene&#8217; premiered in an apartment in Riga during &#8220;Homo Novus&#8221; festival.<\/p>\n<p>The focus of the work &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.homonovus.lv\/eng\/programme?s=Museum\">Physical Evidence Museum<\/a>&#8221; is on women&#8217;s experiences of domestic violence, and this was done by the authors working with women who were willing to send personal items and belongings to the museum&#8217;s collection \u2013 objects as witnesses of violence \u2013 and share their stories. A solidarity action \u2013 readings of 24-hour experience stories \u2013 was organised on the last day of the \u201cPhysical Evidence Museum\u201d where 18 women participated in the reading marathon.<\/p>\n<p>Some of these experience stories will be broadcast on the air of the charity marathon &#8220;High Five!&#8221;. The authors of the project will invites other women to share their experience and stories as well by sending at least a few sentences<strong> by December 21, writing to lietumuzejs@gmail.com<\/strong>.
