Available <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bilesuparadize.lv\/en\/search\/index\/?query=sansus%C4%AB\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">online<\/a>.<br \/>\nIn Aizpute and Bebrene &#8211; free entrance<\/p>\n<p>In \u201eV\u0113rpete\u201d the Latvian\u00a0Kri\u0161j\u0101nis Sants and Swedish Erik Eriksson bring together their keen interest of the moving body, ways of altering sensorial perception and their extensive research of the Baltic traditional music, dance and handicraft. Utilizing the melodic structures of Latvian folk songs and a circular pattern common to many cultures, the two dancers become the evolution of one constantly changing vortex of movement. Turning hand in hand, it is the agreement and commitment to disagree that keeps the dancers moving together.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;V\u0113rpete&#8221; was premiered at\u00a0 the International Festival of Contemporary Theatre Homo Novus and in 2015\/2016 won the Latvian theatre award in contemporary dance.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"VERPETE trailer\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/VcVIZYjFxMs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kri\u0161j\u0101nis Sants<\/strong>\u00a0has since graduation of the Latvian Academy of Culture (2011) and P.A.R.T.S. (2014) working both in Latvia and abroad, collaborating with several acknowledged artists like musician Laima Jansone, choreographers Heine Avdal&amp;Yukiko Shinozaki. In his own work Kri\u0161j\u0101nis has been experimenting ways to transmit the rythmic codes of Latvian ornaments and folk songs into movement. Currently he studies for MA in Scenography in the Latvian Academy of Arts and has been exploring\u00a0performative ways of affecting\u00a0the hidden power structures\u00a0used in everyday relations.<br \/>\n<strong>Erik Eriksson<\/strong> is a Swedish dancer and choreographer deriving from an acrobatics and break dance background. Since graduating from P.A.R.T.S. (2014) he has been collaborating with choreographer Daniel Linehan\u00a0and taught across Europe at institutions such as the Danish School of Contemporary dance in Copenhagen. Erik&#8217;s artistic work focuses on exploration and development of\u00a0\u00a0visual, tactile and kinesthetic perceptions of the world.<br \/>\n<strong>M\u0101rti\u0146\u0161 Mi\u013cevskis<\/strong>\u00a0is a percussionist and composer, one of the core members of the popular Latvian rock band Astro\u2019n\u2019out. He regularly collaborates with other musicians and collectives a.o.\u00a0the Brass Orchestra Riga, the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, the folk music group Au\u013ci and has written music for documentary films.<br \/>\n<strong>Rihards L\u012bbietis <\/strong>is a guitarist and has been playing live concerts since 2010.
