The performance-walk DancePoint explores the dance in the most private of private spaces\u00a0and invites audience to visit homes of different inhabitants of P\u0101rdaugava neighbourhood and join them for a dance where no dancing skills are required!<\/p>\n<p>Latvian and Icelandic choreographers\u00a0will work together with\u00a0home owners and create unique dance situations in each apartment, reflecting\u00a0on personal stories and\u00a0experiences of people and using everyday gestures and social codes. Entering the home, the spectators will become part of a micro happening\u00a0and will be asked to follow simple instructions.\u00a0By calling to pay\u00a0attention, awaken senses and empathy for strangers, this is an invitation to a delicate non-verbal meeting.<\/p>\n<p>The idea for DancePoint comes from the performance <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reykjavikdancefestival.com\/njlsgata-folk-dance\/\" target=\"_blank\">Church of Dancy<\/a>\u00a0of the\u00a0Icelandic choreographer \u00c1sr\u00fan Magn\u00fasd\u00f3ttir. In summer 2015 she created an event in Reykjavik where she invited people to her home and her neighbours homes encouraging strangers\u00a0to come together with a simple reason to dance and celebrate.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday 22 April<br \/>\nWalk and series of micro dance happenings in the homes of P\u0101rdaugava inhabitants<br \/>\n14:00, 15:00, 16:00<br \/>\nChoreographers Krist\u012bne Br\u012bni\u0146a, Agate Bankava,\u00a0\u00c1sr\u00fan Magn\u00fasd\u00f3ttir &amp; \u00a0Alexander Roberts (Reykjavik) together with P\u0101rdaugava inhabitants<\/p>\n<p>Free entrance with a prior registration.<br \/>\n<strong>NB! At the moment the registration is closed and\u00a0all available places are filled.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After the registration, you will receive the information about the meeting place on April 22.
