{"id":6178,"date":"2016-11-03T09:56:42","date_gmt":"2016-11-03T09:56:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theatre.local\/homo-novus-final-week-in-november\/"},"modified":"2016-11-03T09:56:42","modified_gmt":"2016-11-03T09:56:42","slug":"homo-novus-final-week-in-november","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theatre.kondrats.dev\/lv\/homo-novus-final-week-in-november\/","title":{"rendered":"Homo Novus final week in November"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p>The International Festival of Contemporary Theatre Homo Novus invites for the last\u00a0act of festival autumn series on the week of November 7-12 with a programme that focuses on one of the most challenging and risky strategies of contemporary theatre &#8211; audience participation.<\/p>\n<p>For the duration of the whole festival week we invite to attend two thematically linked and mutually enriching artworks that blend theatre and visual arts &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/homonovus.lv\/eng\/programme?s=of-all-the-people-in-all-the-world\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Of All The People in All The World&#8221;<\/a>, a performative exhibition by Stan&#8217;s Cafe and <a href=\"http:\/\/homonovus.lv\/eng\/programme?s=guilty-landscapes-episode-i\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Guilty Landscapes. Episode I&#8221;<\/a>, a live video work by Dries Verhoeven.<\/p>\n<p>In the dance programme we introduce two choreographers &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/homonovus.lv\/eng\/programme?s=sculpting-in-time\" target=\"_blank\">Nacera Belaza<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/homonovus.lv\/eng\/programme?s=55\" target=\"_blank\">Radouan Mriziga<\/a> that share interest in the spiritual, mystical and repetitive.<\/p>\n<p>The young Latvian theatre makers Valters S\u012blis and J\u0101nis Balodis will present an engaging and ironic look at the recent events in the Latvian economy in <a href=\"http:\/\/homonovus.lv\/eng\/programme?s=the-success-story\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;The Success Story&#8221;<\/a> with the performers of the National Theatre. The refugee crisis is addressed in the audio performance <a href=\"http:\/\/homonovus.lv\/eng\/programme?s=evros-walk-water\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Evros Walk Water&#8221;<\/a> by Daniel Wetzel and in the collective breathing performance <a href=\"http:\/\/homonovus.lv\/eng\/programme?s=the-forgetting-of-air\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;The Forgetting of Air&#8221;<\/a> by Francesca Grilli.<\/p>\n<p>The last day of the festival is being curated together with the international artist collective <a href=\"http:\/\/homonovus.lv\/eng\/programme?s=parliament-of-things\" target=\"_blank\">Building Conversation<\/a>, artist activist organisations <a href=\"http:\/\/homonovus.lv\/eng\/programme?s=imagine-2020\" target=\"_blank\">Cape Farewell<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/homonovus.lv\/eng\/programme?s=imagine-2020.\" target=\"_blank\">Agents of Alternatives<\/a> and theatre maker <a href=\"http:\/\/homonovus.lv\/eng\/programme?s=tonight-lights-out\" target=\"_blank\">David Weber Krebs<\/a>.
