{"id":6335,"date":"2015-10-04T19:48:39","date_gmt":"2015-10-04T19:48:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theatre.local\/residency-of-dna-artists-in-jurkalne\/"},"modified":"2015-10-04T19:48:39","modified_gmt":"2015-10-04T19:48:39","slug":"residency-of-dna-artists-in-jurkalne","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theatre.kondrats.dev\/lv\/residency-of-dna-artists-in-jurkalne\/","title":{"rendered":"Residency of DNA artists in Jurkalne"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p>Between June 2\u00a0and\u00a0June 4 seven choreographers from <a href=\"http:\/\/departuresandarrivals.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\">[DNA] Departures and arrivals <\/a>project will spend three days in a residency in J\u016brkalne village\u00a0to meet and talk together.<br \/>\nThe three day gathering\u00a0in the Latvian countryside is constructed as informal, non-hierarchical meeting among dance makers\u00a0of the same generation in order to offer time and space for artists to discuss practices, ideas, ongoing projects and utopias, activism and the role of artist\u00a0today. Following the statement\u00a0by Dutch theatre maker Jan Ritsema that &#8220;people are nicer and more intelligent when they are not bound by (rigid) structures and rules&#8221;, the artists will themselves establish\u00a0the schedule and agenda to follow during\u00a0their stay together.
