{"id":6423,"date":"2014-09-29T14:10:31","date_gmt":"2014-09-29T14:10:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theatre.local\/dance-moves-cities-meeting-and-creative-lab-in-riga\/"},"modified":"2014-09-29T14:10:31","modified_gmt":"2014-09-29T14:10:31","slug":"dance-moves-cities-meeting-and-creative-lab-in-riga","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theatre.kondrats.dev\/lv\/dance-moves-cities-meeting-and-creative-lab-in-riga\/","title":{"rendered":"Dance Moves Cities meeting and creative lab in Riga"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During 2014\u00a0<em>Dance Moves Cities<\/em>\u00a0project have presented a series of residencies\u00a0and events\u00a0in Riga (LV), Terni (I) and Krakow (PL) where several\u00a0international choreographers worked with local dancers exploring the context of dance in urban setting and developing new creations\u00a0in public space.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Each city chose a different focus of work, adapted to local needs and interests. In Riga the project explored\u00a0three different neighbourhoods through different artistic styles and proposals led by choreographers Koen Augustijnen (BE), Willi Dorner (A) and collective <em>contact Gonzo<\/em> (JP)\u00a0with a strong contribution\u00a0of Latvian dancers. The social, economical, geographical and emotional context of each place, the history, the architecture, and not less\u00a0weather conditions, played an important role in the creative process and influenced\u00a0the presentations to the public.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Dance Moves Cities<\/em> meeting and creative lab<\/strong><br \/>\nSeptember 29- October 4<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/theatre.lv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/DMC-Schedule-and-contributors_web-1.pdf\">DMC Lab programme and contributors<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Following the intensive \u00a0learning period, <em>Dance Moves Cities<\/em> participants from Terni, Krakow and Riga joined by four dance artists from Porto, will come together for 6 days to talk, think, share experiences and engage in choreographic exploration of the city. The lab will end on October 4 with a presentation in the public space created by the participants.
